What information we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect:

Your name, phone number and (if you give it) your email address.
Details of your event — type, date, venue or area, and guest numbers.
Your menu preferences, budget indication and any notes you add.
Any allergy or dietary information you tell us. Health-related information is treated as a special category of personal data and we use it only to prepare and serve your food safely.

If you contact us by WhatsApp or telephone, we also hold the content of those messages and the number you contacted us from.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To prepare and discuss your quote, and to fulfil your booking. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering into one.
To cater safely around allergies and dietary requirements. Lawful basis: performance of a contract. For health-related information, we rely on your explicit consent, given when you tell us about the allergy. You can withdraw it at any time, though we may then be unable to cater for you safely.
To keep records of quotes, bookings and payments. Lawful basis: legal obligation (tax and accounting records) and our legitimate interest in running the business properly.
To ask for a review after your event. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in obtaining feedback. You can tell us not to and we will not ask again.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business — for example the provider that delivers our website enquiry form, our email provider, and our accountant — and only so far as they need it. Where a venue requires it, we may share the booking details necessary to deliver your event.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for a limited period so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, and then deleted. Records relating to actual bookings, invoices and payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires — currently six years from the end of the relevant accounting period.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
ask us to delete it, where we do not need to keep it;
object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
withdraw consent where we relied on it;
